Choose your Bluebeard Character!

Our setting is decided! Our collective Bluebeard story will be set in the deep, dark woods (candy land, you made a good accounting for yourselves!).



Now, it's time to choose who our mysterious Bluebeard character might be. 

The poll will be open until Wednesday, March 25th. We can't wait to see who you choose, because we love all four options equally!

The premise of this campaign is that six authors can be given the very same source material, and they will come up with six wildly different books. And that's exactly what happened!

But we're not done. We want to tell a story with you, dear reader. Because what we come up with together will also be wildly different than the six books you'll get to read by backing this campaign. This short story that we craft together will be sent to all backers at the end of the campaign in ebook form.

We'll get into the nitty gritty of what that looks like as we get closer to the campaign, but in the meantime, let's pick a setting for our Bluebeard remix! 

Voting will end Monday, the 23rd. Keep an eye out for polls to choose our Bluebeard character and our main character next week!

Three Weeks To Launch: What You Need to Know

Hey all!

We're about three weeks away from launch, and we're so freaking excited for you to see the shenanigans we have in store for you! There may or may not be a choose your own adventure at play...

We wanted to give you a head's up on timeline, the new tier structure, and an extra perk of the reservation system! AND a fun little thing we're doing! The MOMENT you back the project, you'll be able to read Elizabeth Stephen's A Monstrous Need. Trust me when I say y'all NEED this one! I was sending Jenny all-caps texts while reading it (SACKS THAT ARE NOT EGGS BUT IF NOT EGG WHY EGG SHAPED????, CUMFLATION, MONSTER ROMANCE). You don't need to take any action beyond backing the project. The book will be delivered the moment you back the project!



Timeline

Leading up to launch, we will be doing weekly updates on what you can expect! Next week, we will go into pricing for everything so you can budget for the goodies you want.

We launch April 9th at 10am Pacific. Early access to folks who have reservations will be granted at April 8th at 10am Pacific.


New Tier Structure

We wanted to give you as much flexibility in customization as possible this time around. With that in mind, you will pick your book format and THEN pick what merch you want (if any). It will look like this:

First, you choose your edition:
  • Ebook Series Set (6 ebooks)
  • Paperback Series Set (3 volumes, 2 books each, flippy-floppy format, in a slipcase)
  • Hardcover Series Set (6 volumes, 1 book each, in a slipcase)
  • Signed Hardcover Series Set (500 limit)
  • Signed Lettered/Numbered Hardcover Series Set (526 limit) 
    • Folks who backed this tier in Black Rose Auction will get 24hrs to reclaim their spot, and then the remaining slots will be available in Early Access. New folks will have their letter/number assigned by order of backer number.

Then you will be taken to the Add-Ons page:
  • All merch will be available on a la carte, including extra sets of books
  • There will be a One-Click Merch Box that is all merch (including any unlocked via stretch goals) at a 15% discount.


Reservations

Reservations are a new feature this campaign, and they are really nifty, because they do two things at the same time:
  • You will automatically get the Surrender to Curiosity Sticker for no additional cost (it will also be available as an add-on for $5).
  • You will get Early Access to the campaign on April 8th at 10am Pacific. If you want a signed hardcover set, this will be your best option to get one.
